Crooked Kilt is performing with the MSD Irish Dancers for a special evening event
Wrap yourself in a rich blend of tightly woven harmonies, interspersed with strands of guitar, highland pipes, whistle, bouzouki, mandolin, melodion, accordion, fiddle & vocals.
Traditional and eclectic Celtic styles interlaced to form, Crooked Kilt.
Crooked Kilt is a family band. We have been playing in the Spokane area for well over 20 years.
It is hard to classify our music as we play such a variety of styles. That is why we call ourselves Crooked Kilt.
We are chiefly Celtic music, but everything we play has a flavor of some other style.
Thank you, friends for supporting us by purchasing all of our four CD's to take home and enjoy!
Tom (Carla's brother-in-law) plays guitar and bagpipes and sings.
As an instrumentalist, Tom incorporates a wide variety of instruments into our unique sound. Including tin whistles, harp, mouth organ, trombone, bass, banjo, and mandolin.
He has also played in the band, "Finesse" as a rock 'n roll guitarist and singer. He owns Antique Auto Ranch, and also owns and operates his own recording studio
Carla (Tom's sister-in-law) plays fiddle, keyboards, accordion, and sings. She offers her musical direction to two other groups, and plays piano for a church. Each CD features at least one of her piano compositions, arranged by the band.
Carla holds a Music Degree in Composition from Whitworth, and a Music Therapy degree from Marylhurst University, and works as a Music Therapist in her own private practice, Willow Song Music Therapy Services, LLC. http://willowsongmusictherapy.com/
Vocals, Percussion, and Bodhran.
Part of the original Crooked Kilt, Anna is honored to be back playing music with her family. Whether it be laying down a deep rhythmic groove or adding harmonies to a highland ballad, Anna's love for the music shines through.
